What PassPath CH is

PassPath CH is a study and planning companion for the Swiss basic theory exam and the road to a Swiss driving licence. It is independent: it is not the official exam and is not run by or connected to the Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), the association of road traffic offices (asa) or any canton. Fees, rules and dates change — always check with your canton before you book or pay. It gives guidance only: the rules and requirements are set by the federal authorities and your canton, and official information always takes priority.

Important notice

PassPath CH provides education and information about getting a driving licence in Switzerland. It is not connected to ASTRA, asa, the cantonal road traffic offices or any other official body. The information is general guidance, not official or legal advice. Requirements and procedures change and differ between cantons: before any important step, check with your cantonal road traffic office. Official information always takes priority. In short: PassPath CH guides you; the official bodies set the rules and requirements.

Our questions

Every question and explanation is written by us from Swiss federal law: the Road Traffic Act (SVG), the traffic rules ordinance (VRV), the signals ordinance (SSV), the licensing ordinance (VZV) and related acts, in the versions published on fedlex.admin.ch. They are not copied from the official question catalogue or from licensed learning material. You may use them for your own study; please do not copy, publish or resell them.

Signs and sources

Swiss laws and official signs are not protected by copyright (Art. 5 of the Swiss Copyright Act). The sign drawings come from Wikimedia Commons, where they are published as public domain. The explanations and question wording are ours. Subscriptions

PassPath CH is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or every 3 months). New subscribers may get a lower price for the first period; after that the standard price shown in the store applies. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage and cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Each country in PassPath is a separate subscription.

Community

If you post in Community you agree to the Community rules. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users: we remove posts and suspend accounts that break the rules.

Accuracy and responsibility

PassPath CH is a study aid. It is not legal advice and not an official source. We write it from Swiss federal law and review it regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every question, fee, date or figure is complete, correct or up to date. Always check with your canton's road traffic office or another official source before you book, pay or act. You are responsible for how you drive and for meeting every legal requirement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss caused by errors or omissions — for example a missed appointment or an exam you have to rebook — and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for PassPath CH in the 12 months before your claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or limits any right you have under applicable consumer law.

If you find a mistake, please tell us using the contact below and we will correct it.
